Electrostatic Precipitators

Electrostatic Precipitators

In 1883 Professor Sir Oliver Lodge FRS first demonstrated the use of electrostatic precipitation for the removal of dust particles from industrial flue gases. Such innovation has remained core to Lodge Cottrell as we continue to provide solutions to ever more complex environmental issues.

Since its discovery, this Best Available Technique (BAT) has prevented millions of premature deaths worldwide, as well as substantially improving the living conditions of everyone on our planet.

Using appropriate electrostatic precipitator design Lodge Cottrell are to meet the latest permitted particulate emission levels using wet or dry, vertical or horizontal systems, which have been deployed throughout the world.
